Two Lakes in One

The watershed of Greers Ferry is divided into two parts and separated by a water-filled gorge the local anglers call "The Narrows". It contains an impressive 1146 square miles overall. With a combined shoreline of around 340 miles, there's a hidden cove to find around any given corner.

One of the Top Ten in North America

Known for its clarity and cleanliness, Greers Ferry Lake is a popular place for year-round fishing and enjoyment. Boaters come from long distances to be on the clear waters here. Several natural parks overlook the lake and feature breathtaking vistas.

Diver's Paradise

The original city of Higden is located at the bottom of the lake. Plagued by flooding, the town and associated cemeteries were moved to a nearby hill and the Little Red River was impounded to form the lake.

There are several areas that divers can explore the town's underwater ruins, some even accessible without equipment.
