Cranes Pond

Located in Kalamazoo County, Michigan

Cranes Pond is a mid-sized body of water in Ross Township, Michigan, roughly 52 miles south of Grand Rapids and 130 miles west of Detroit.

Residents on the pond enjoy quick access to help when they need it with the Branson Battle Creek Hospital just 14 miles away. Travel is also convenient when you are located next to the metro area with the Battle Creek/Kalamazoo International Airport only 16 miles away.

The Gilmore Car Museum is just a couple miles north of the neighboring Gull Lake. This is a must-see for anyone in the family who is considered a car-lover. You can explore 400 different cars and motorcycles and grab a bite to eat at the restored 1941 diner.

Michigan is one of the nation’s top-ranking states for golf, and the area around Cranes Pond does not disappoint. The Gull Lake View Golf Resort is just a short drive north of Cranes Pond and includes six different courses and two restaurants.

The Air Zoo Aerospace & Science Museum has been voted the "Best Place to Take Out-of-Towners" and "Best Place to Spend a Day with Your Family," making it a must-see. It features more than 100 air and space artifacts, rides, Full-Motion Flight Simulators, a theater, historical exhibits, and educational activities.
